You Know What?!

Today, as were watching Illayaraja's music programme on Jaya TV, I 'introduced' Illayaraja to Diya. I told, he is the one who has scored the music for her favorite songs. Looking at Illayaraja's dad, Diya commented, "No, his dad!"

Happy New Year - 2010

At Office Function

Diya visited my office and enjoyed the office anniversary day. She got a butterfly tattoo done. She also participated in drawing activities and won chocolates and 'bubbles' as recognition. She also received a gift 'Oil pastel crayons'. She tried climbing a air-filled balloon climbing area but she could not manage. However, she was thrilled to join a dance celebration for a Hindi number. For the first time, she managed to tell her name to almost all my friends.

My Black Board

Diya practices her writing and drawing skills on this little board. She also demonstrates to Anu aunty and Swara regularly on video chat that they say 'wow'! She writes ABC's, 1-2-3's, XMas tree, a rabbit, a lolly pop, sun among many other scribblings.

My Fav Chair

We bought a new chair for Diya, which is made of metal, short, and has cartoon theme. The cushion seat makes a funny sound when Diya sits on it and also while she gets up. Bought from Landmark, Jayanagar. Price Rs.575! The table is our legacy - the one we have been using since our school days - 1980's

Cake Mixing Ceremony

Diya and Tanisha got an opportunity to participate in the cake mixing ceremony at Hotel S, JP Nagar.

Book Festival 2009

Diya attended Book Festival at Palace Grounds. She attended 2nd time in a row. Last year also she attended (see link). This year's photos to be uploaded from our mobiles later. Diya had collected a wealth of kids books. Also, got Dora sticker, Dora badges. She remembered to carry one for her sister-friend Tanisha.

School Open House

Diya's school open house. The teacher invited her 'yet another naughty kid is here'. Looks like Diya finds it difficult to concentrate in the class. She always needed the teacher to be next to do her class work. She is active but. Looks like the teacher warned her that she would be sent to the next class where the Tamil speaking teacher was there. Diya happily ran to the other class, it seems. The teacher was wondering what a punishment could be for Diya. Diya is not worried about all this, anyway.
