What was that, again?

Diya gave me another surprise today to me - She said "Excuse me" as I was blocking her way. Again before entering the room, she said "Excuse me".
Its a sign she started talking. As someone rightly said, during the first year of the baby, the parents will be worried when the kid will speak. From the second year, they will be wondering when the kid will stop. Diya is on the right path.

National Anthem

Diya surprised me today by singing the National Anthem. She stood in attention pose and also finally ended the song with patriotic "Jai Hind", "Jai Hind", "Jai Hind". She refused to be seated while singing the song. I logged on to the net and downloaded the song for her and she was all thrilled to listen to each and every word of the song.

Landmark Craze

Diya is now Landmark craze. She visited Landmark at Garuda mall in Jayanagar and fell in love with all the items. She picked everything that she liked and abandon them the moment she saw the next item. Next time, when you see the items are misplaced in different sections in Landmark, you can assume that Diya is around. I bought a pack of 3 rubber balls as a gift for Diya.

Welcome to GCoffee

It was 4 am in the morning when Diya woke up and start crying to watch 'kitten' on the desktop. We took her demand lightly and tried to pacify her with all sorts of things. Nothing worked. I turned the modem on, put on the laptop and showed a couple of YouTube videos on kitten.

She was happy, but again demanded that she wanted to view it in Desktop. Windows did not startup in speed to test my patience. Finally she was happy again, made me watch the one kitten video (just one single!) and then went back to bed and gave a mischievous smile. Then, went on to sleep!

I could not get back to my sleep and was wondering what to do next..

I was thinking of starting a new blog since a month on general topics and thus born "G Coffee" !

Launching of Online Library

Dear friends, here is the formal announcement of launch of Diya's Library. After analysing various online book catalog websites, I felt GuruLib is the most suitable for my requirements. Please visit http://www.gurulib.com/diyasg to view Diya's Online Library. Diya knows all these books belong to her. She is excited to see the book collection on the shelves and more thrilled that it is easy to pick. She often exults "appa, neraya book" (Dad, we have more books).

Not from Burma

Diya loves to be in different costumes. We donot know from where she gets such ideas (?!). The night dress was bought by grand ma from Bhavani. The glass bought by grand pa. The handbag - price Rs. 99 from Big Bazaar - was admantly picked by Diya. The slipper is her all time favorite though the pair slips from her feet very often. Does this like a Burma purchase?

Squirrel Friend

Squirrel is a new friend - rather new entertainment - for people at home. Diya and my mom thinks that the visitor squirrel can eat whatever my mom feeds. One day, mom fed Maggi Noodles. The squirrels did like the masala flavour.
